General Information For Donations

The Archives of the History of American Psychology is a non-profit entity. Gifts of archival material and monetary support are provided by donors in support of the mission of the AHAP.

  • Gifts of books, manuscripts, apparatus, films, etc. that add to the historical record are always welcomed. Inquiries can be directed to the director of the Archives.

  • Monetary gifts are accepted through a number of programs of planned giving. These programs are administered through the University of Akron Development Office on behalf of the Archives. For more information, donors can contact the director of the Archives, David Baker or Megan Vance, AHAP development officer.

  • Monetary gifts to the Archives are tax-deductible as are gifts of materials. All gift materials should be appraised prior to shipment. Appraisal and shipping fees are often tax-deductible.
