Pictures at an Exposition - In 1937 psychologist David Pablo Boder (1886-1961) founded the Psychological Museum. Boder (pictured on the top right) was eager to show the application of psychology to modern life. The Psychological Exposition that opened in Garfield Park, Chicago on May 4, 1938 included displays and demonstrations of many psychological instruments and apparatus popular at the time. The museum closed in 1957. Many of the items from the Psychological Museum were given to the Archives of the History of American Psychology. Note that each poster has been hand stamped with the official seal of the Psychological Museum.

Measuring Minds. The mosaic picture of the "Amerika Chronoscope" is composed of digital images taken from the instrument and apparatus collection of the Archives of the History of American Psychology.
