St. Patrick’s Weekend Invitational

Water Polo Tournament

March 18 &19, 2006

Presented by The University of Akron Water Polo Club

 

 

What:    A 6 -8 team invitational water polo tournament, comprised of men’s & co-ed collegiate club and/or regional club teams.  Each team is guaranteed a minimum of 4 games against 4 different teams.

 

Where:  The University of Akron’s Ocasek Natatorium.  An all-deep facility, configured approximately 25 meters by 20 yards.  With a fully automated, state of the art Colorado scoring and timing system, including 4 integrated shot clocks, separate penalty clocks, etc. with bulkhead anchored goals.

 

How:      Open club rosters using ’05-‘06 Men’s NCAA Water Polo Rules, enforced by 2 certified referees for each game.  Co-ed rosters permitted.  The schedule format will be determined based on entries.

 

When:   All day and evening Saturday March 18, and all morning and early afternoon Sunday March 19.  Priority in scheduling given to teams with the furthest travel demands and/or earliest paid entries.

 

Why:     Purely a fun, well-organized, competitive spring water polo tournament played at a great facility!

 

Entry Fee:  $290 if received on or before 3/13/06; $325 after.  Early registration is greatly appreciated and encouraged for planning purposes, in order to minimize costs/expenses and due to the high level of interest.  Please make checks payable to the University of Akron.

 

Remittance:    Please email a team roster with cap numbers and a team overview/narrative/bio for the tournament program to csragheb@yahoo.com.
