  • Introduction

Train PhotoOne of the purposes of the Erie Lackawanna Historical Society (ELHS) is to collect, preserve, and make available for use archival items that document the rich history of the railroads that came to make up the Erie Lackawanna Railroad. To further these efforts, the Historical Society has entered into an agreement with The University of Akron Archives (which houses some of the corporate records of the Erie Lackawanna Railroad), under which the Society's collection is on deposit with the University.

This page is intended to give an overview of the ELHS collection at the University. A more detailed finding aid is being prepared so that potential users can learn more about our holdings and if they might be of assistance.
