Hugh Walker's
391st Bombardment Groupís
391st Bomb Group Association
The 391st Bomb Group Association was formed in 1974 and its first meeting was conducted at the Air Force Academy.  Since that time, they have reunions every two years.  A newsletter is published and has been since 1974.  There has been a treasurer and the account is now in pretty good shape.
It has been the duty of each president to honcho a reunion ever y two years and a new president is chosen for the next two years at that time.  In some instances, over 400 members have attended reunions.  This total was less than that during the last two reunions.

Presently in 1998, when this Home Page is formed, the group will be meeting St. Louis in November.  Attendance will be monitored carefully before the next site for the year 2,000 is planned.

There has been a concern expressed that organizing a reunion, writing a newsletter and having a treasurer might be tasks that members are unwilling, or unable to continue because of their ages.

To the reader of this 391st Bombardment Groupís Home Page--
This Home Page was prepared and added to the University of Akronís Index by Mr. Richard Smith, a student at the University of Akron.

The text was prepared by Hugh Walker, 391st Bomb Groupís Historian from Air Forceís microfilm of the unitís performance in World War II and from data collected from the survivors since the unit association was formed in 1974.

We intend to add data to this Home Page as time progresses and reader responds.
