Donna Webb received her M.F.A. degree from the University of Michigan in l971 in ceramics and drawing. She taught in the public schools and then operated her own studio gallery. In l981 she joined the faculty at The University of Akron. She is a potter, sculptor and tile maker and makes combinations of the figure and pots with her collaborator, Joseph Blue Sky. They have also done large scale mosaic tile installations and fountains in public sites since l99l. These are unique compositions of sculpture, tile, wood and water. Their work is featured in The Art of Mosaic Design published in l998 by Quarry Books and in the Penland Book of Crafts published in 2003 by Lark Books.
In addition to coordinating the ceramics program, Webb team-teaches History of Craft with Dr. Laura Gelfand.
