Elisa Gargarella graduated with a master's degree in teaching from Chatham College in 1998 after securing a Bachelor's degree in communication and studio art from Denison University in 1995. Elisa taught visual arts for the Cleveland Municipal School District for three years. Her students' collaborative work with a nationally recognized photographer has been exhibited in the "Youth Speak Out" show at the Cleveland Center for Contemporary Art. She has worked as a resident visual artist and instructor for a summer arts program for adolescents at the Cuyahoga Valley Enviornmental Education Center in Peninsula, Ohio. Elisa is currently working to enhance the Art Education program for the Myers School of Art and the University of Akron at large.
