Kolodziej has taught at Rhode Island School of Design and the Art Institute of Bos ton/Lesley College. Kolodziej has been teaching Painting and Drawing at the Myers School of Art since 2001.
Kolodziej's archaeologically inspired paintings use fragmentation, layering, and movement as a means for considering a sense of place and self. His work has been exhibited both nationally and internationally. In 1995 he recieved a Fullbright Grant to the United Kingdom to research the work of J.M.W. Turner.
