7100: 233 LIFE DRAWING
Prerequisite: 7100: 131 Introduction to Drawing
Course Description: Perceptual problems in drawing from the live model. Study of akeletal, muscular, and mechanical nature of the human figure and application of this knowledge to the resolution of aesthetic problems.
Rationale: The extented study of the human figure provides the contemporary art student with theopportunity to explore problem-solving stratagies that visual arts have employed for centuries providing the sstudent with the opportunity for in depth investigation of a ssingle, complex form with inherent content.
Course Objectives:
The goal of this course is to instill a knowledge of anatomy, to develop drawing skills, and to develop the ability to understand and analyze form, content, and technique.
