To Ian Mann... Thanks for putting in the time and effort into the coaching job. His volleyball and coaching skills are the primary reason the club took the step to the collegiate club level and will be the main reason for what success will come our way this season. I dubbed the team "Ian and the Seven Dwarves" when we started because his assignment was to make a group of sloppy, <6 ft., utility players into a respectable squad. I think the team will be very competitive this year due to his hard work.

To the '98 varsity volleyball squad... Congratualtions on a great season! The Lady Zips finished the season with an 18-11 overall record. The season included putting the wood to local rival Kent, a birth in the MAC Championships and advancing in that tournament to the semifinals. Great work by Coach Mike Sweitzer, Asst. Coach Lisa Marshall and the whole squad. Best of luck to the team next year!

To Ashlie Case... Congratulations on being named MAC Freshman of the Year for volleyball. She had a fantastic season and we expect to see more of the same in the years to come.

To Greta Johnson and Brooke Santek... Congratulations and thanks to these two graduating varsity volleyball players. We've enjoyed watching you compete at such a high level over the past seasons. Good luck to you in the future.

To Dennis Patton and the OH-PA League... Thanks for letting us into the OH-PA league. I really appreciate and sympathize with the all of the work Dennis Patton (league commissioner) and the other team spokesmen put into a collegiate club season.

To Paul Easterling, our faculty advisor... Thanks for always being available to hand out your all powerful signature or to do battle with the powers that be for our cause.

To our club members that have graduated... Adam, Jeremy, Kyle, Ryan, Mark and Lester. Best of luck in the real world. (A contribution to the AVC from it's alums would be much appreciated.)

To Coach Mike Sweitzer and Asst. Coach Lisa Marshall... Thanks for supporting the club and helping us out in a variety of ways.

To Mark Allen & the Intramural Dept. and Riko Chung & the Ath./Rec. Facilities Dept... Thanks for their cooperation in making facilities and equipment available for club practices and matches. We really appreciate how you've worked with us and our needs.

To Kory Walter... Thanks for bailing out and helping out the club a number of times. Best of luck to her USAV team, Canton Club 2 VolleyThumpers, this season. Stay tuned for updates on their season.

To Tom Lorimor and the Ohio Volleyball Conference... Our apologies for not competeing in this new league this season. We wish the league the best of luck this year and applaud Tom for all of his hard work.
