About the Conference
The Ohio Band Directors Conference features nationally known guest conductors, performers, and educators. This conference develops, recognizes, and promotes excellence in concert band performances and provides young musicians and their directors with an opportunity to interact and perform.

Exhibitors from the areas of music retailing, publishing, fund raising, band uniform manufacturing, and instrument manufacturing will display at the Conference.

The day culminates with the presentation of the Ohio Band Directors Conference "Hall of Fame" Award, given to an outstanding retired public school band director who has promoted excellence in music education throughout his or her career. This award is presented during the OBDC Honors Symphonic Band concert. The Honors Symphonic Band is comprised of musicians representing high schools from throughout the state of Ohio. Directors and students are encouraged to attend rehearsals of this outstanding ensemble throughout the day.
