a member of the Akron Zips Band Fan Club!

Support the Akron Bands by becoming a member of the Akron Zips Band Fan Club with a gift of $100 or more!  Here are some of the benefits of membership:

 

• Band Fan Club members will have the opportunity to accompany “Ohio’s Pride” to InfoCision Stadium/Summa Field for one game day rehearsal during the season.  This year’s date is November 7, 2009  when the Zips take on the Kent State Golden Flashes!!

 

You will stand on the sidelines and watch as the band runs through their spirited game day rehearsal.

 

*(Participants who attend this rehearsal must have a ticket for that day’s game.)

 

• Band Fan Club members will return to Guzzetta Hall after the rehearsal for a pre-game rally.  You will have the opportunity to meet the band members and directors and receive inside information on the half-time show.

 

• Band Fan Club members will participate in the traditional “March to the Stadium” one hour prior to kick-off.  Experience the excitement and atmosphere as the band travels through campus.

 

• Band Fan Club members receive a communication via e-mail from Galen Karriker, Director of the Marching Band, prior to each home football game.  Receive the inside information on what we do, how we do it, what to look for, and the inside story on what makes us who we are.

 

• Band Fan Club members will be listed in the Annual Bandorama Program.  Bandorama features The University of Akron Symphonic Band, Concert Band, and “Ohio’s Pride.”

 

• Best of all, Band Fan Club membership offers you the chance to see visible proof of your contribution to The University of Akron band program.  Fan Club support will assist us in the purchase and maintenance of instruments and equipment, the production of compact disc recordings, and support the band as we travel throughout the Midwest and Canada!
