Many of these research projects will not realize their full potential without the assistance of interested students. Research participation may take the form of general lab maintenance to active participation in experiments and even experimental design. Students with a real desire to experience science in action and to gain valuable work experience are encouraged to seek out professors in the department to inquire about opportunities. Even if one faculty member may not need assistance at a particular time, they will be able to direct you to others that may be able to help.
