August 12 2003. New web page design implemented using the University of Akron template. The basic structure of the site has been put in place though some content pages are still in the process of being updated.

August 2003. New faculty position has been approved. The Department of Biology will be searching for a new faculty member in the area of Behavior this coming fall semester.

Summer 2003: Biology faculty taking part in the Meuhlstein Acadamy. Several members of our department will be taking high school students into their labs for a full summer of research experience.
