IV. Credits needed for graduation
A. University Rules - minimum 128 credits (includes transfer
credits). Must have an overall GPA of 2.0 or better (Univ. of
Akron grades only)
B. Buchtel College of Arts & Sciences - 47 credits at the
300/400 level
- Western Culture and World Civ - Do not count
- Workshop courses do not count
- 3100:206/207 or 3100:208/209 does not count as of Fall 1993
- Other 300/400 level courses in any department do apply
The following courses may also be counted toward the 300/400
level requirement:
- Mathematics--Calculus and above
- Chemistry--Principles and higher
- Physics for Life Sciences (or Elementary Classical Physics)
C. Biology Department - at least 36 credits of Biology
Courses.
- Courses can fulfill the 47 credits at 300/400 level and the
36 credits of Biology.
- Must have a cumulative GPA of 2.0 or better in Biology
courses (including transfer grades).
- May include up to 4 credits of Biological Problems.
Note: The following classes do not fulfill any of the 36
credits in Biology
- 100 Introduction to Botany
- 101 Introduction to Zoology
- 105 Introduction to Ecology
- 108 Introduction to Biological Aging
- 381Human Genetics.
