August 2005. Dr. Richard Londraville is appointed as Interim Chair of the Department of Biology.

July 2005. Dr. Jerry Stinner steps down as chair of the Department of Biology. Dr. Stinner has accepted a position as Dean of the College of Science at California State Northridge. Congradulations to Dr Stinner and best wishes in his new position.

February 11 2005. Dr Jean Pan has accepted a position as Assistant Professor of Biology beginning in the Fall of 2005. Her interests are in community ecology.

June 2004. The Bath Field Station is now officially open!  We have a 4,000 square foot building in the heart of the Bath Nature Preserve.  The facility has a large classroom/meeting room, a library, two research rooms, and we are developing a wet lab in the basement.  Stay tuned for more developments!

May 2004. Biology faculty taking part in the Muehlstein Acadamy. Several members of our department will be taking high school students into their labs for a full summer of research experience.

April 2004. The new faculty position in Behavior has been filled by Dr. Todd Blackledge.  Dr. Blackledge will be joining our faculty in Spring, 2005.
