This course will introduce undergraduate and graduate students to the diversity of Ohio's plants and insects. Emphasis on field trips, field identification, important local habitats and communities, and how these organisms contribute to Ohio's Ecology.

Learn more about the two most abundant groups of living things!

·       Become expert at identifying common plants and insects.

·       Learn to make and care for plant and insect collections

·       Explore how the natural history of plants and insects affects Ohio’s Ecology.

·       Visit prominent natural areas of Ohio-  Bath Nature Preserve, CVNP, and others.

·       Develop Field Biology skills

Great for anyone interested in Biology and the outdoors, including student and practicing teachers.
