This year's trip went off with virtually no problems! The weather was good, allowing us to take all of our field trips. Also, the ocean was only uncooperative for one day, and we were able to make that snorkeling trip up at a later time.
We shared the compound this year with two other classes: one from Pennsylvania and one from Kentucky. Since ours was the largest group, we got the best lab. Also, due to the diligence of our students, our aquaria displays were also the best of the groups! We had a balloon fish, spotted eel, upside-down jellyfish, and an octopus, to name a few of the specimens the class caught. Of course, all were returned to the bay when the class was finished.
Overall, the class went REALLY well, and everyone got along admirably. Some of the trip's highlights have been captured on film, and I have them grouped below. Each category has several pictures, so be prepared for some "loading time" for each one.
