Hezzleton E. Simmons Hall
Scope:
Construction of a new 94,000 gsf building located at the corner of College Street and East Buchtel Avenue. This front door facility will provide a one-stop-shop for admissions and registration activities. Departments from Spicer Hall, housed on an interim basis at the Student and Administrative Services Building, will relocate to this facility along with other selected departments.
Status:
Construction complete 08/28/04.
Building Dedication 10/08/04.
This project won the Akron Chapter of the American Institute of Architects 2004 Design Award.
