How
do I print in the CBA Computer Labs?
- The computer lab now has a new printer that can print in color or black and white.
- From
your computer workstation, click on the print icon or select File
> Print from the top toolbar.
- Use the chart below to choose the printer name you would like to use from the print option window.

- Go to the respective print stations in room 102. Make
sure you have your Zip Card with you at the print station.
- Swipe your Zip Card in the card reader. Make
sure the magnetic strip is facing the green LED light on the reader
while swiping the card.
- Look for your print job on the list of
print requests waiting to be processed. Print jobs will be listed
by UAnet ID. You may have to scroll through the entire list to locate
your print job.
- Select your print job, and then click on the Print
button. Your Zip Card will be charged for all jobs you select, so
only select your own print job(s). Print jobs cost $.07 per page.
**In
order to print in the CBA Computer Labs, you must have your Zip
Card and money in your Zip Card account. If you are taking a CBA
class (class numbers starting with 6000), free prints will be
added to your CBA Supplemental Print Zip Card account at the beginning
of the semester. This gives you free pages to print in the CBA
Computer Labs. Click here to view the Free

How
do I print PowerPoint Slides?
In
order to print your PowerPoint slides on one page, you must remember
to select the following options in the print dialogue box.
- Under
"Print what:"select Handouts from the drop-down menu
- Select
6 slides per page
- Check
grayscale so that your color PowerPoint slides will print so that
you can read the type.

How do I set up my personal laptop to print to the CBA Computer Labs printers?
Before starting, make sure you are on the campus network (set up a VPN connection if you are not on campus).
Option 1:
- Log on as Local Administrator on your laptop
- Click Start > Control Panel > Printers and Faxes
- Click Add a printer (alternatively you can go to New Printer Wizard). Click Next
- Click "Connect to this printer" and type \\labprtmb1\ (a list of available printers should appear in the drop down list)
- Select \\labprtmb\PPHPLJ4300CBA102P2. Click Next. Click OK if a message pops up.
- Choose if you would like the printer set as the default printer. Click Next
- Click Finish
Option 2:
- Go to Internet Explorer or any explorer window.
- Type in \\labprtmb1 and hit Enter.
- Double click on on of the CBA printers. (PPHPLJ4300CBA102P2). Click Yes if a message comes up.
- You are now connected to the printer.

Do
Free Print Pages apply to the Copy Machine?
No,
Free Print Pages are for printing only. You need to have money on
your ZipCard in order to make copies from the copy machine.

How
do I change my password?
You can change your password by visiting the Information Technology Services UAnet services website at https://gozips.uakron.edu/zid/user.html. Click on the Change the password of my UAnet ID link.
Note: You must have a valid UANET ID and a known password to use this site.

do I synchronize my password?
You
can synchronize your password by visiting the Technology Learning
Support Center's UAnet Password Synchronization website at https://gozips.uakron.edu/zid/pw/pw_sync.cgi.

How
do I reactivate my UAnet ID?
You
can reactivate your UAnet ID by visiting the Information Technology Services UAnet services website at https://gozips.uakron.edu/zid/user.html. Click on the Reactivate a UAnet ID link.
Note: On this site you have two options:
If you do not know your password, you must enter your social security number.
If you do know your ID and password*, you must enter your ID and password.
* Please note that this option will only work for IDs deactivated in 2003 or later. IDs deactivated before the beginning of 2003 will have to use the SSN option above.

How do I forward my UA email to another email account?
You can forward your UA email by visiting the Information Technology Services UAnet services website at https://gozips.uakron.edu/zid/user.html and clicking on the E-mail Management Link. Then click on the Manage My E-mail Settings link. Once you are on your email settings' page, click on the Modify Forwarding button. Then enter the new destination for your UA email.
Note: You must have a valid UANET ID and a known password to use this site.
