2007 BUSINESS PLAN COMPETITION WINNERS

AxioMed is located in Cleveland, Ohio and was formed to develop products for restoring the native function of the spine through total disc replacement. The company is headed by CEO, Patrick McBrayer, who brings over 20 years of healthcare senior management experience. Prior to AxioMed, Mr. McBrayer held three CEO positions. Two of the firms went public and one was acquired for $68M in 1999; each a significant achievement under Mr. McBrayer's leadership. Since its inception, AxioMed has secured over $24M in private equity financing from prestigious venture capitalists to develop the company's Freedom™ Lumbar Disc, which is currently in clinical trials in Europe.

The company will be a food delivery service. The company will form a strategic alliance with a local grocer and market itslef as a convenience service to assist people who for whatever reasons do not want to take the time to go to the store.

Deuvall-Vasu Gallery will be a for profit high end art gallery located in scenic University Circle around the Cleveland Museum of Art. The gallery will sell high end art from leading artsists ansd also have art shows from international renown artists..

The judges announce the winners surrounded by art which was made by Lee Vasu of Deuvall-Vasu, LLC.
The company will be the first college textbook rental shop that is merged with a café. The company will focus on establishing an alliance with the University of Akron in a location of no more than five miles from the university.
