National Recognition
The University
of Akron’s
Entrepreneurship Program has received numerous national awards and
honors:
- Top 25 of schools in the U.S. with an emphasis in entrepreneurship education in Entrepreneur magazine, 2003.
- One of 30 schools in the
U.S.
selected to compete for a $5 Million grant through the Kauffman Foundation, 2003.
- The
Academy
of Management Entrepreneurship Division
recognized a faculty member with an Innovation in Entrepreneurship
Education Teaching Award: Honorable Mention, 2001.
- Wild Card Finalist at San Diego State University’s International Business Plan Competition, 2001.
- First Place at the University of Louisville’s Business Plan Competition. The team's Business Plan, Oral Presentation, and Executive Summary all came in first place, 2000.
