Highlights of Summer 2007
- Dr. Owens, was the advisor for 20 University of Akron students who lived, worked and studied in the Bloomsbury area of London for 6 weeks
- Students were assigned to International Marketing Practicum Projects which gave them great experience by allowing them an opportunity to work with an international firm or organization, including:
- Harrods Ltd. – on a customer satisfaction and future needs study
- Novus Leisure – conducting research throughout Britain and Scotland for the famous night club chain- owner of Tiger-Tiger
- Hilton Hotels- research on the desires of the Generation Y consumer
- Help the Aged- The largest non-for-profit helping the elderly. Research on technology transfer companies for lowering the cost of in-home medical monitoring.
