ITEE meets to discuss the topic "Telecommuting"
The IT Executive Exchange (ITEE) will have its regular meeting September 12, 2008 from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm.  The topic of the exchange will be “Telecommuting” which will take place following the networking lunch. ITEE is a forum for IT Executives and College of Business Administration professors at The University of Akron that meets about every six to eight weeks to discuss pressing and leading edge issues.  Since the beginning of 2008 CITe has hosted four other ITEE meetings.  At previous meetings topics have included Strategic Outsourcing, Social Networks, Mobility and Business Intelligence.

Lunch & Learn hosted a great presentation on Virtualized Infrastructures
Due to the huge success of the first Lunch & Learn Series organized in February, CITe organized the second on April 23, 2008.  The event started with a networking lunch and continued with the topic "What If" Behind Virtualized Infrastructures.  R. Scott Jobe, a Corporate Member of CITe and a Solutions Architect at Champions Group had a great presentation and answered a lot of questions about the topic.  At the end of the presentation there was a drawing for two WMware Workstation licenses.  

CITe Advisory Board Meeting and MIS Open House
The CITe Advisory Board met April 18, 2008 from 3:00 - 4:30 pm.  This meeting also hosted an MIS Open House which aimed to provide networking opportunities for students majoring in MIS and eBusiness.  The MIS Open House was a great opportunity for students to meet information systems executives, recruiters and alumni. 

CITe hosted John L. Mariotti at an Executive Business Forum!

At the forum John L. Mariotti presented his recent book The Complexity Crisis — Why too many products, markets & customers are crippling your company — and what to do about it.  The Executive Business Forum, organized by the Center for Information Technologies and e-Business, was a significant success and brought together experienced professionals from industry and academia.
