John L. Mariotti

John L. Mariotti is President and CEO of The Enterprise Group—a coalition of Time-shared Executive Advisors.  He is formerly President of Huffy Bicycles and of Rubbermaid’s Office Products Group.  John serves as a Director on several corporate boards including World Kitchen, HomeCare Industries, Henkel Consumer Adhesives and Petmate, Inc.  Since founding The Enterprise Group in 1994, Mariotti has been an advisor to many well-known companies and is widely regarded an expert on Strategy, Marketing and Partnerships.

John is the author of eight business books and a novel, and hundreds of columns and articles.   His newest book, The Complexity Crisis will be released early in 2008 by Adams Media’s Platinum Press.  His other recent books are new editions of Smart Marketing and  Marketing Express (Capstone/Wiley 2004, 2006).  John was also a contributor to Business—The Ultimate Resource and the Encyclopedia of Health Care Management.   He has been a keynote conference speaker, a radio talk-show host, a regular management columnist for IndustryWeek and moderator of America’s Best Plants conferences, a columnist for the American Management Association, Fortune Small Business, and Management Centre Europe.   He publishes a weekly newsletter—THE ENTERPRISE—and a blog “Telling It Like It Is” (http://mariotti.blogs.com/my_weblog/) 

Mariotti also founded The Reunion Conference, a by-invitation roundtable “Think Tank” series, which is now going into its 12th year.  John has been a guest lecturer at the University of Akron, the University of Dayton, Oberlin College, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, the University of Tennessee and Maryville College. He holds a BSME from Bradley University and an MSME from the University of Wisconsin. Throughout his career he has been active in community and leadership positions for organizations such as Board Chairman of Goodwill Industries (Dayton, OH), Chairman of The Productivity Communications Center.
