Incoming Student Tuition
Scholarship The
CITe Incoming Student Tuition Scholarship was established to recruit
outstanding students to the college’s information systems and
eBusiness programs. | To be
eligible for the scholarship
Recipients of the scholarship will be selected by the CBA
Scholarship Committee, in consultation with the CITe Advisory Board,
on the basis of academic merit. To apply for this scholarship,
freshmen should complete the Scholarships Application for Incoming
Students and submit it to Dr. B. Vijayaraman, Center for Information
Technologies & eBusiness, College of Business Administration, the
University of Akron, Akron, Ohio 44325-4805 by March 15.

Current Student Tuition
Scholarship
The CITe Current Student Tuition Scholarship was
established to recognize current information systems
and eBusiness majors who demonstrate academic
excellence. It is awarded to students at any level
(freshman, sophomore, junior, or senior)
and is renewable. | To be
eligible for the scholarship -
A
current undergraduate student must be enrolled on a full-time
basis, have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0 and be an information systems or eBusiness
major. -
To remain eligible for this scholarship, the
recipient must continue to major in information systems or
eBusiness in the CBA, maintain a grade point average of at least 3.0, and remain a
full-time student. Current students should complete the Current Student Tuition
Scholarship Application Form and submit it to Dr. B. Vijayaraman, Center for Information Technologies &
eBusiness, College of Business Administration, The University of Akron,
Akron, OH 44325-4805 by March 15.

Minor Student Tuition
Scholarship
The CITe Minor Student Tuition Scholarship was
established to recognize current information systems
and eBusiness minors who demonstrate academic
excellence. It is awarded to students at any level

eligible for the scholarship -
A
current undergraduate student must be enrolled on a full-time

NEO-SIM Scholarship
As an
institutional member of the Northeastern Ohio Chapter of The Society
for Information Management (NEOSIM), The University of Akron has
been selected to receive a scholarship grant of $1,500. NEOSIM has
been awarding scholarships to The University of Akron collegiate
students since many years.

To be eligible
for the scholarship
-
A current
student must be in good standing
-
Student
must be majoring in Information Systems or eBusiness
-
Must have
at least a 3.0 grade point average in their major field of study
-
Must have
completed at least one semester of coursework and have at least
two semesters of coursework remaining to complete
Students should submit a one page essay to Dr. B. Vijayaraman,
Center for Information Technologies & eBusiness, College of Business
Administration, The University of Akron, Akron, OH 44325-4805 by
March 15. The essay should address their career
goals in information systems, how their academic program will
prepare them for an IT career and why they believe they should
receive the NEOSIM scholarship is needed with the recommendations.
Also two letters of recommendation written by administrators, the
academic dean, the academic chair and /or any faculty members who
have interacted with the student in the classroom is required.
