April 2: Barry Gaither - "Rethinking American Art: The Impact of
African-American Contributions."
Gaither is museum director for the National Center of Afro-American Artists,
Inc. in Roxbury, Mass.
April 13: Internationally known painter Robert Colescott - "Bob
Colescott Ain't Just Misbehaving".

April 16: Bing Davis - Opening lecture for the exhibition, "On the
Shoulders of Our Ancestors". A ceramic artist, Davis curated the exhibition
and is the director of the Paul Robeson Cultural and Performing Arts Center
at Central State University. The exhibition of objects in clay, fiber, wood,
metal and plastic by Black artist is presented by UA's Black Cultural Center
and School of Art.

April 18: Charlayne Haynes - "Wild Women, Wild Men". Haynes
is communication director for the New Museum of Contemporary Art in New
York.
April 30: Conceptual artist Fred Wilson - "Silent Message of the Museum"
