ABOUT
US
Design and Development Services is a unit of Information Services at the University of Akron. Our primary goal is to assist faculty in the design, development and management of Web-based and Web-enhanced courses.
More specifically, we:
-
help faculty revise existing goals or set new goals as needed for Web-based instruction.
-
assist faculty in re-analyzing learners, which is more important in Web-based courses.
-
design and develop an effective framework for Web courses using WebCT, the university's web-course management system.
-
repurpose existing media material and creating new graphic, audio, video and other types of elements to enhance online instruction.
-
help instructors adapt their evaluations to the web-based environment.
