Ladies are to wear a black leotard, pink tights, pink technique shoes, and bring your pointe shoes if you have prior pointe experience; hair is to be in a neat bun. Gentleman wear black tights, white t-shirt, and technique shoes.

Cost of the summer session depends on what level the dancer is placed. Each level, beginner through advanced, takes a different number of classes per week. The following is a sample of tuition prices:

    Advanced:
    • 20 classes per week
    • $961.00 for 4 weeks
    • $506.00 for 2 weeks
  • Intermediate II:
    • 17 classes per week
    • $848.00 for 4 weeks
    • $480.00 for 2 weeks
  • Intermediate I*:
    • 15 classes per week
    • $799.00 for 4 weeks
    • $448.00 for 2 weeks

* This is the level for those with little or no pointe experience.

Dance Institute's four week summer intensive focuses on the kinetic breakdown of movement rather than encompassing one style or technique. Building technique classes from barre to center work kinetically, our school emphasizes principals of alignment, placement, musicality, and artistry. Summer intensive classes start with analysis of each student’s physical strength, body alignment and technical ability. In each level, students initially concentrate on basic movement and terminology and subsequently move on to more complex work.
