The First Paul A. Daum Guest Artist Residency in Theatre
Edward Stern, Producing Artistic Director of the acclaimed Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park, will be on campus for a three day residency February 25 through 27. A graduate of the University of Virginia and Indiana University, Mr. Stern was co-founder of the Indiana Repertory Theatre, and served as its artistic director from 1972-80. He also has held faculty positions at both Rutgers University and the William Esper Studio in New York City. This year marks Mr. Stern’s 15th season with the Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park, where he has directed productions including Of Mice and Men, A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, Mister Roberts, Ah, Wilderness!, King Lear, Inherit the Wind, A Little Night Music, Wit, Much Ado About Nothing, Sweeney Todd, and Twelfth Night. His residency will coincide with the opening in Sandefur Theatre of Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night under the direction of Stephen Skiles,
the Paul A. Daum Professor of Theatre. |
