Letter from Jidge Verity, Arch Chapter Treasurer

What a treat it was for me to be able to spend the evening and dinner with many of the men of ETA chapter. I have been working with this group via e-mail for over a year. When I first got to know the men of ETA they were struggling to pay bills that they had blown off for over a year. You could see the change in the attitude as the new group went to work. They got their butts up in the air and their elbows on the ground and went to work. They started making commitments and more importantly they started keeping their commitments. It was not long before we saw a budget from the chapter. Then we saw payments of old amounts. Then we saw monthly financial reports start coming in.

Now the chapter is completely current with the fraternity.  When I was with the chapter this week I learned of their rush efforts and I can see they have attacked this area with the same zeal that finances were attacked. It is paying off. More and higher quality men have apparently been pledged.  I am excited about the future of ETA chapter. It is on the verge of really blossoming. In the mean time the men of ETA are beginning to live a Delt value system that will create lives of excellence while they are undergraduates at Akron and thereafter.
