Technology Leadership

  • Become an active member of the school or district technology committee - Example
  • Become involved with the decision-making process as it relates to instructional technology at all levels (School, district, Board)
  • Write grants for technology related equipment, software or other support.
  • Review your school's technology plan.
  • Work with hardware and software vendors to advance school technology resources
  • Visit with other schools to learn how they are solving technology related challenges.
  • Tutor your colleagues (hardware, software, networking problems) - Example
  • Attend conferences and bring that knowledge back to your job.
  • Develop acceptable use policies.
  • Any presentations that you make using or about instructional technology.
  • Continued education through courses/workshops (not counted toward masters degree)
    Obtain Technology certifications
