Welcome to the GAMES website, hosted by The University of Akron! We hope you will find the information presented here of use, and that you will consider joining our organization.GAMES is an organization of teachers and others devoted to supporting the teaching and learning of mathematics at all levels. It is an affiliate of the Ohio Council of Teachers of Mathematics and the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics. Our main goal is to provide significant professional development opportunities to teachers and preservice teachers.
GAMES has proudly served the educators of the greater Akron area for 26 years. We particularly serve those in Summit, Medina, and Portage counties.
On Saturday, March 29, GAMES will host a Mathematics Mini-Conference at the Central-Hower Building, 123 S. Forge Street, Akron. For more information, download the flyer from the 2007-2008 Schedule page in either Word or pdf format.
Many teachers are able to earn Continuing Education Units by attending these events. Check with your local LPDC to see if you qualify for CEUs! Watch the Schedule page for scheduled events for 2007-2008.
