2008 Summer Honors Institute
for Gifted Students

July 27-August 8, 2008

Overview

The University of Akron is once again pleased to offer the Summer Honors Institute for Gifted High School Students. For over a decade, the University has challenged and engaged bright, inquisitive students with activities designed by our most creative faculty. The result is an experience where students and instructors are investigating, discovering, and creating new knowlege, new skills, and new friends.

This is a full-day program, and students may commute to campus daily or take advantage of the residential option. The program is free for those who commute. Those who stay on campus will be living in the Honors Dorm that opened in September 2004. Students will return home over the weekend between the two weeks of classes. If you are interested in this option, follow the link (at left) for more information.

This year's Institute promises to be one of the most exciting ever, and we hope you'll consider joining us! Admission information and information about this year's classes can be downloaded by following the links at the left.

We hope to see you this summer!
