EDUCATION Mental Health Amicus Curiae Brief for the U.S. Supreme Court in Gonzales v. Oregon (2005) Given the lack of understanding - in both professional and lay circles - about psychosocial issues near the end of life, one of our major activities is providing education and training. We have led continuing education workshops for mental health professionals and students in several states, assisted with community presentations, and consulted with numerous organizations regarding properly caring for the psychosocial needs of dying individuals and their loved ones. Our current major educational activity is coordinating an international conference - Attending to Psychosocial Issues at the End of Life - to be held in February, 2002 (www.uakron.edu/eol/conference/).
