Future Physician's Club 

        at the University of Akron

    Future Physician's Club is a student organization here at The University of Akron dedicated to providing a valuable resource to undergraduate students in the health sciences.   The club is not only geared to pre-meds, but it is geared to aspiring chiropracters, and physician assistants.  The academic year of 1999-2000 promises to be a good year for this club.  It is our goal to provide guest lecturers, service projects, field trips, and just 'fun' get togethers.  We encourage suggestions and participation by interested students.

We will hold an organizational meeting at the beginning of the fall.  In the meantime, please feel free to e-mail any of the officers or the advisor.  Their respective e-mail addresses are below:

Bob Nolan, who is the head coordinator of Summa Health Care Systems, is interested in starting the feeding program up again next semester.  A few of us have been doing and it is quite good.  It provides invaluable patient contact that many of us don't get and the medical schools love to see!!!

Again, we will be meeting in Chestnut A on Wednesdays from noon to 1 pm.  A listing of the times is posted below!!!  Please check frequently for additional announcements.

Also, many folks owe dues.  They can be given to us at the next meeting or put in the Future Physician's mailbox in the Biology Dept.
