Education Ph.D. and M.S. Geography, The Pennsylvania State
University Research Interests Dr. Monroe's major research interests include quantitative analysis in geography, migration, and problems of regional growth and development. He has investigated land use and population dynamics within the Akron region, including intra-regional population flows, changes in the regional economic structure, and suburbanization trends. He has joined other researchers from the Ohio Housing Research Network to examine population and housing issues in the metropolitan areas of Ohio.
