College of Business Leadership Forum
Description of Program: The goal of the CBA Leadership Forum (CBALF) is to develop leadership skills which result in student participation in campus and/or community organizations. The course is leadership-based and will include assessment of traits, skills, and strengths of students. Leadership books, articles and topics along with guest speakers will be the focus of the course content. Students will receive two credits for the CBALF which will be added to their Fall 2007 class schedule.
Application Process: Students will be required to complete the CBALF application (click this link to download), and write a one page essay describing an aspect of leading or leadership that they find interesting. The essay must include an explanation of the reason(s) for their interest. It may relate to experiences, perceptions, or knowledge they have of leaders and/or leadership among their peers; in government; in business; or in education. Students are encouraged to apply by April 1, 2007.
Students who are selected for the CBALF must also be accepted into the Honors College. Selection is not contingent upon living on campus.

CBALF Faculty will review applications and notify some students of their acceptance to the forum by May 1, 2007.
Application Deadline: August 1, 2007
Program Schedule: An Opening Ceremony will be held on Friday, August 24, 2007 from 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm. There will also be workshop opportunities on Saturday, August 25, 2007 from 1:00 pm – 5:00 pm and Sunday, August 26, 2007 from 6:00pm – 8:00 p.m. Students selected to the CBA Leadership Forum will be expected to serve as CBA Ambassadors for programs and events (Professor for a Day, Spirit Day, Goodyear Forum, etc.). They must also participate in a Class Project and will be encouraged to become involved in student organizations and activities.
