Process

1. Apply for admission to The University of Akron.

2. Send our office the Honors essay and a list of your accomplishments, activities, awards, etc., both at school and away from school. A letter of recommendation is helpful.

3. If invited, have an honors interview with a member of the University of Akron faculty.

Note: The application deadlines for priority consideration for admission to the Honors Program with scholarship for each fall semester are:

November 1 -

February 1 - standard admission deadline. Applications for Fall, 2010, are encouraged at this time.

...similar to the general University scholarship deadlines. Applications to the Honors College may be considered at other times. Exceptionally well-qualified students are encouraged to apply before the dates listed.
