STRIKING UP FRIENDSHIPS

Members of the IAAP Student Chapter shared a fun-filled evening at Midway Lanes November 15. On the agenda was enjoying the company of friends and getting to know new members, while eating a light dinner and rolling a few strikes and spares. To see the results (not the scores) - Click here

Service is the Heart of Responsibility

Anyone who has sat at the bedside of a seriously ill child knows how terrifying and draining it can be. Now imagine that bedside is in a strange city — away from home, family and friends. Ronald McDonald House is the charity that offers support and a place to stay to the families of patients at Akron Children’s Hospital who come there from other communities.

IAAP UA Student Chapter members took note of a recent article in the Akron Beacon Journal about the urgent need for non-perishable foodstuffs at the Akron Ronald McDonald House. Student chapter members sprang into action making Ronald McDonald House their service project for the fall semester. Collection boxes were distributed and donations requested.

On Tuesday, November 16, a delegation from the Student Chapter delivered two carloads of donated food items to the House located on State Street, across from Children’s Hospital.
