Professor Brant T. Lee

This two-credit seminar meets on Wednesdays from 6:30 to 8:30 in West Hall, Room 209.

Course Requirements:

Generally, the Course Requirements are to participate in classroom internet discussions, to monitor two e-mail discussion lists, to research and make a presentation regarding one of the class topics, and to prepare a research paper of no more than 15 pages.

Reading Materials:

All of the reading assignments, both required and optional for this course are available on the web through links from this page.

Office Hours:  My office is located on the back wall of the library in room 240.  My office hours are 3 to 4 pm Monday and Tuesday, 5:30 to 6:30 Wednesday, 11 to 12 noon on Thursday, and by appointment on Friday.   I am often in my office at other times, and you may drop by my office at any time that I am there.  You may also call me at 972-6616, or e-mail me at btlee@uakron.edu.  If you want to be sure that I will be in my office, you should contact me in one of the above ways to schedule an appointment.

[Virtual Office Hours:  As an experiment, I will be creating a "chat" rooom on Yahoo! during my office hours.  To visit me online, you can browse to Yahoo!, and click on "Chat."  You will need to obtain a Yahoo ID, which is free.  Once you are in, you can "change rooms." Look for "Professor Lee's Office Hours" under "User Rooms."  If too many strangers wander in, I may find a different way to do this.  If you go to this room, you should be aware that there may actually be a student physically in my office, so I may not respond immediately to questions posted.]
The Experiment is over.  I am no longer hosting a chat room during my office hours.

Registration:  Students whose names do not appear on the University’s official class list by September 4, 1998, will not be permitted to attend class or receive credit.
