Help Using Your Library PIN

A PIN (personal identification number) is a number you will assign yourself in the library's online catalog. Your PIN will be used to request books from other UA libraries, access select OhioLINK databases from home, view your library record, and renew library material.

To obtain a PIN:

  1. Go to http://library.uakron.edu/patroninfo
  2. Enter your name, your student or employee ID # or barcode # and a PIN. You can make up your own PIN. Your PIN may be any combination of numbers and/or letters and must be between 4 and 16 characters long. Once you have completed the required information, click on the Display Record for Person Named Above button. You will be prompted to re-enter your PIN twice for verification.

Forgot your PIN?

Call the Circulation Desk at (330) 972-5355 or email library-pin@uakron.edu and a staff member will clear your PIN so that you can reset it. Click here for Circulation hours. Additional verification information will be required to clear your PIN via email.

Please stop by the Circulation Desk at any University of Akron Library, call 330-972-5355, or send a message to library-pin@uakron.edu if you have any questions or if you require assistance using your PIN.
