Photocopiers

The Photocopy Center is located on the ground floor of Bierce Library and is open during the regular hours of the library. The staff in the Photocopy Center can give you change, make copies for you, or assist you should you have difficulty with a photocopier. The staff is also responsible for the maintenance and cleaning of the microfilm machines and laser printers.

Photocopy machines for public use are located on the first floor of the library inside the Reserve Room, directly outside the Reserve Room, and on the ground floor surrounding the Photocopy Center. Coins can be used on three of the public photocopiers inside the library - one photocopy machine in the Reserve Room, and two photocopy machines on the ground floor.

All public copiers can make single copies, multiple copies, duplex copies, reductions, and enlargements.

The Photocopy Center provides many services to all customers. Some of the services include large copy jobs, copies on color paper, copies on 11 x 17 paper, copies on three hole paper. transparency copies, and binding.

For those of you who need to make many copies, you may want to purchase a copy card from a card dispenser. There are three dispensers inside the library - one dispenser next to the public laser printers, one dispenser outside the Reserve Room, and one dispenser at the Photocopy Center on the ground floor. A card can be purchased for $1.00. The first $.50 is used to purchase the card and the remaining $.50 will already be programmed on the card. So when you purchase a card for the first time, the card will have $.50 on it. this card can be reused by adding additional money on the card. To add money to your car, simply insert the card first into the dispenser and then insert the amount of money you want to add to the card. The card dispensers do not give change. The cost per copy on a photocopy machine is $.07.

The photocopy card must be used to print from the microfilm machines at a cost of $.25 per print. The photocopy card must also be used to make prints from the public laser printers at a cost of $.10 per print.

Four photocopy machines for public use are also located on the first floor or the Science and Technology Library. Two dispensers for purchasing copy cards are located next to the copiers.
