• When using a periodical index or abstract, write down or print out the basic information about any articles you wish to obtain. This basic or bibliographic information includes the following:
• Title of the article.
• The Author or Authors of the article.
• The Title of the Periodical in which the article appears.
• The Volume Number, Issue, Date, and Pages of the periodical in which the article appears.
• When the basic or bibliographic information is arranged in a form that corresponds to that prescribed in an acceptable published style manual such as Kate Turabian's A Manual for Writers of Term Papers, Theses, and Dissertations or the MLA Handbook for Writers of Research Papers, it is called an article citation.
