The University of Akron Bierce Library has four floors. The main entrance is on the First Floor. Here is a list of the areas located on each floor:

Ground Floor - located on this floor are the following:
  • Periodical Stacks
  • Circulating Books with call numbers A - D
  • Audio-Visual Services
  • Eric Documents
  • Photocopy Center
  • Microforms Desk - microfilm and microfiche area
First Floor - located on this floor are the following:
  • Government Documents
  • Reference Books and Reference Desk
  • Indexes, Abstracts, and Databases
  • ZipLINK and OhioLINK, and research databases workstations
  • Information Desk
  • Circulation - materials are checked out here
  • Reserve Materials and Current Periodicals Room
  • Curriculum Center
Second Floor - located on this floor are the following:
  • Circulating Books with call numbers DA - H
  • Map Room
Third Floor - located on this floor are the following:
  • Circulating Books with call numbers J - Z
  • Circulating Books - Oversized
