Fluorine: Sources

Sodium fluoride is regularly added to drinking water supplies and toothpaste for its proven ability to reduce the formation of dental cavities by up to 70%. (Fluoride is needed by Hydroxyapatite, a component of tooth enamel.)

Fluoride is not generally available as a supplement, though tablets may be used. Good natural sources include drinking water, seafood, and teas.
