The Right Dose: Dose Response Theory

Fluorine: Hazards

Excessive amounts of fluoride can result in mottled teeth (stained, wrinkled), which are very hard but unsightly. This is common among native Indian tribes in western Oklahoma and Texas, due to high concentrations of flouride in the well water.

In concentrations above 20 milligrams per day, fluoride can be toxic, but these are not found in water supplies. Fluoride in massive doses is the main ingredient of some rodent poisons.
