The 1998 University of Akron Summer Program in the Alps runs from May 15th to June 24th, and is based in the Alpine town of Faverges. Illustrated reports are posted on this web site every few days, showing students' activities and places visited.

The group is to visit the city of Paris during the first weekend in June; other visits included Aime, Annecy, Chamonix, Geneva (Switzerland), Cormet de Roselend mountain pass, St Germain, Morette, Montmin, and many other sites too numerous to mention. The first report was filed on the day of the students' arrival, Saturday, May 16th.

This is the tenth time the Program has been run since 1987.
