BA in Spanish from Brigham Young University (2005) MA in English-Spanish translation from Kent State (2007)

Mr. Jara-Droguett began teaching at The University of Akron in the fall of 2007. Originally from Santiago, Chile, Herman Jara-Droguett, "El profe," is interested in various topics dealing with second language acquisition, and hopes to pursue studies in that field in the future. He is also a practicing Spanish translator and is interested in the development of courses in the area of Language for Special Purposes (LSPs).
