The campus circulation
system includes easier vehicular access, parking and pedestrian
connections. Since the University serves many commuters, the plan
focuses on regional and campus streets, as well as parking. Visitors
to the campus will be greeted by clearly marked portals and new
signage upon their arrival. Parking will be consolidated in convenient
locations through the construction of three new parking decks, each
located within a five-minute walk of any point on campus. The plan
also calls for the closing of two existing streets to allow for
more direct and pleasant pedestrian and bicycle connections throughout
the campus.
